Du Pain Et Des Idées

If you visit one Boulangerie in your life you might want to make it this one. A huge statement indeed my friends! But this one lives up to any sort of expectation you could throw at it. Their claim to fame is the Pain d’Amie which is baked in a MASSIVE loaf and you can get by the piece or part en francais (un demi, un quart…).
Also not to miss- their escargot. Don’t worry, it’s not snails, just croissant dough rolled with awesome fillings. This one is pistachio and chocolate…. 😀 Seriously baked to perfection with a capital P! Crispy and soft- you can even still see the layers!

Their hours are a bit tricky as they aren’t open on the weekend. But they do open super early at 6:45am! So you can use that to your advantage and stop by for a treat in the morning and then head to a perfect spot to watch the sunrise in Paris or wander around the mostly deserted streets at that hour.
If you’re thinking a small savory snack is in order, take a look by the cash register for a plethora of little salty breads stuffed with olives, cheese, dried tomatoes, and more. yum.
