Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups (190 g) all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup (25g) cocoa powder
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • Pinch of salt
  • 1 stick (114 g) unsalted butter, room temperature
  • 1/2 cup (100 g) granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup (100 g) light or dark brown sugar
  • 4 egg yolks
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cups (100 g) mini semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • Extra chocolate chips

Instructions

Preheat the oven to 350F (175C). Line an 8x8" (20x20cm) pan with parchment paper.

Whisk together dry ingredients in a bowl (flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt). Set aside.

Cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Then add the egg yolks one at a time, then vanilla extract and dry ingredients. Lastly, gently fold in mini chocolate chips.

Press into the prepared pan.

Bake for 18-20 minutes and then when hot out of the oven sprinkle a healthy amount of chocolate chips on top to fully cover it.

Let sit until the chocolate chips melt and then spread out the melted chocolate to cover the top.

Let cool completely to firm up and enjoy!

“Best brownies ever” – my kids. Super easy! Definitely took longer than 20 minutes but worth it. I poured ganache on top (and some sprinkles) and they are divine! Plus I now have egg whites for macarons!!

This looks awesome snd easy! I’m going to try it!
