Springerle Cookie Class
Now this class was a long time coming! Springerle cookies have become a THING around here the last 3 years. They’re STUNNING with their beautiful designs on top and fun chewy centers.
Join Molly for a fun and interactive Virtual Springerle Cookie Class! Over three days, Molly will take you step by step to learn how to craft these beautiful, fragrant cookies from the Alsace-Lorraine region in France, and into Germany and Switzerland. We’ll go over lots of tips to get those designs to stay, how to flavor the cookies other than the traditional anise, and the steps to take when baking them to get the rise and foot.
The schedule for the three days of classes is as follows:
DAY ONE (Friday, December 6th 30 – 45min): Making The Dough
DAY TWO (Saturday, December 7th 30 – 45min): Rolling Out The Dough, Pressing Them In, Resting Overnight
DAY THREE (Sunday, December 8th 30 min): Baking The Cookies
**PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS CLASS IS EARLIER THAN OUR USUAL VIRTUAL CLASSES AT 5:30PM PARIS, WHICH IS 11:30AM EST (10:30AM CST, 9:30AM MST, AND 8:30AM PST).
What you will learn:
- How to make the springerle dough, roll out & shape the cookies, and bake them perfectly!
- Tips and tricks for flavor additions and decoration

Special Equipment Needed:
A scale- optional but highly recommended, cookie sheets, rolling pin, electric mixer with whisk attachment, Springerle Cookie Molds or other cookie stamp
Ingredients Needed:
cake flour, eggs, powdered sugar, baking powder, cornstarch, your choice of added flavoring (could be vanilla extract, almond extract, anise seed, or more!)
