• 1 vanilla bean (or 1 tbsp vanilla bean paste)
• 1 cup (200 g) granulated sugar
• 2¼ cups (540 ml) whole milk
• ⅓ cup (65 g) granulated sugar

Equipment:

• Saucepan
• Whisk
• 6 individual ramekins (4–6 oz / 120–200 ml)
