Hello All! Happy Sunday! Today’s been a pretty gloomy January day. In Texas, the weather’s bleak, with overcast clouds throughout the winter and bare trees- none of that fun snow to go trudging around in. It’s funny how it impacts your mood too. Instead of wanting to go out and about, I tend to stay inside reading a book or doing yoga. Baking’s a fun past time too- but I’m holding off on that now due to my cleanse unless of coarse they fit in to what I’m eating like the below :-D. This Pinterest Sunday is all about healthy foods!
Talk about a great way to get someone to eat veggies! These look delicious! I think I’m make the carrot fries to accompany the white bean and garlic soup I’m making tonight. yum!
I had to throw some sweet treats into here! These are from OhSheGlows my favorite Vegan blog. They contain very litle sugar (1 tbsp maple syrup) and lots of good things for you including bananas, cocoa powder, oats, and peanut butter. yum!
When I first started making smoothies, they were absolutely horrible and many a drink went down the sink. Now, I’m a smoothie convert! They’re such a great way to add a serving of fruit, veg, and dairy to your diet. This chart is a great map to a yummy smoothie.
This is my absolute favorite salad to have in the winter. There’s lots of crunch from the apples and nuts. It’s very satisfying and the flavors meld perfectly.
I love bringing little bites like this to work as pick me ups. These are made with any kind of nut-butter (peanut, almond cashew), coconut, oats, and honey as a base, then you add in anything you want like dried fruit, chocolate chips, or poppy seeds.
Perfect for a quick weeknight meal. Turkey is lean and full of protein then topped with avocado which is full of good for you fats. Top a salad with this or stick between two whole-wheat buns for a easy and delicious meal.
